Hey everyone! Just wanted to let you guys know that after speaking with a supervisor during my Infopass appointment about 2 weeks ago, I finally got an interview date. Looks like everything WILL be done before my husband goes to Iraq August 5th. I got my notice in the mail yesterday and my interview is on July 11th!

The people at the Chicago office are wonderful! I was skeptical at first that they would indeed, expedite our case because you know how USCIS can be at times, but they have proved themselves.

OK. Gotta go add this to my timeline now!

Before I forget, what should I bring to the interview? I saw something on the paper saying I needed to bring court dispositions if I have been arrested or whatever; are they talking about background checks? I am not sure what they mean by this. What other documents are they wanting because it isn't specific - it just says documents relevant to my case.

What supporting evidence of relationship do I bring? I really don't have too much. I still have EVERYTHING from when I had my k-1 interview and wedding pics. We own a house but since he bought it before I came here, my name is not on the house. I have no clue what to take with me!

Thanks to all of you! I am so glad there are so many great, knowledgeable people on here. i don't know what I'd do without you!

Doesn't it say what you need to bring on your appointment letter?

I would suggest bringing originials of all the evidence you submitted with your application.

You will need a police clearance from every country you have lived in if you lived there longer than a year I believe

You will need vaccination suppliments (be sure you have them up to date)

Medical Examination Information

Copy's and originals of all your related documents throughout your journey

Evidence of relationship (bills, bank account, general ####### with both your names on it)

Bring a separate folder of all the originals in case they need to see the original of any document

Bring your I-864 Affidavit of Support and copy's of the I-134 if you had to do that prior to entry

Bring your I-91 and copies (back and front)

All Travel Documents

Your marriage license, drivers licenses, passports, visa's and copies

Bring any travel documents throughout your relationship, letters, e-mails, etc..

Bring videos and photos and pictures if you have them

Have 4 passport photos in case you need to supply them

Bring you EAD if you have it

Your social security card (if you got one)

Copies of your petitions

Copies of your AOS

Etc...

I do not know which interview you are doing, but I would bring everything.. the motherload. They should send you a packet or something with the requirements of what to bring I would think, but you can never be too prepared and it is better to have more stuff with you than it is to go there missing something you could have easily obtained. I hope this helps some

Since she came on a K-1 I doubt these are necessary as it was already submitted in order for the K-1 to be delivered. And they usually keep the police clearances and the Medical. I am a K-1 and I dont have those in my possession anymore. Anyone can light me and the OP up on that ?

No, it does not specify. All it says is to bring "documents" and court dispositions for any arrests. I have never been arrested so I don't know what they want.

I have all of my evidence ready. I just don't know what else they want.

I can't answer your question - but wanted to say Congrats!

I am doing the AOS interview. I came here on a K-1 visa. I sent passport photos, copy of I-94, etc. (most of what you mentioned) in with my I-485 because it was required. They did my police clearances before I came here and they kept my clearance from Germany. I only have the one for the US when I lived here before. They also have the copy of the petition approval letter. Like I said, I had to send that in with my I-485. Did you need all of this for your AOS cuz you are confusing and scaring me.

LOL, yes, someone PLEASE lighten me up - she scared me. I do not have my medical exam papers - they have those. I sent in my I-693A supplemental vaccination sheet along with my I-485 which, the I-485 sheet states is all you need. So, just as you, I no longer have these in my possession either.

I really wish my interview appointment letter was a bit more specific. All it says is to bring documents and nothing else.

One of the only things USCIS will fast track for is the armed forces. I'm glad they managed it for you and good luck.

Yes, I am so glad because I was so worried! I have run into a few people on here who were NOT able to get it expedited for some reason, even though their spouses were in the army. Thank you!

You do not need Police reports when doing AOS......

Good Luck with your interview...

Kez

Thanks for letting me know that. I got worried because they kept my German police record when I went for my K-1 interview.

Do you have any idea what documents I will need? I thought that all I would need is proof of my relationship/marriage since they received all the other important docs with my AOS application. I have all that - pictures, cards, letters, emails, airline tickets, phone records, letters from neighbors saying they know us, etc.

Should I also bring my positive pregnancy test results? LOL
