hi guys, I'm a May 2020 filer for I751,  I live in NYC and filed to Texas center, EAC number, on Friday I just got a notice showing " Case Was Transferred And A New Office Has Jurisdiction",  we completed our initial interview in 2018 in NYC and got my greencard.   What this case transfer mean? Does it mean I will be scheduled for another interview ? I dont have my N400 filed.

Thanks

There are two reasons USCIS will move your i751 case, if it moved to another service center they may be balancing workload between service center offices or they may send it to your local USCIS field office to schedule a interview.

If you case has been sent to your local office they will process it and may yet wave your interview, but there a very good chance they will schedule an interview. You may get a update indicating your case is ready to be scheduled for an interview  some day soon. An interview date would be some months in the future after that.

Same thing happened to me yesterday, but I am an October filer with RSC prefix. Let's hope for a quick approval.

Our case just got the notice that our 'Case Transferred And New Office Has Jurisdiction' today, so we will wait and see where USCIS is moving our case to. We have been in the California Service Center since May 2020 so hoping for faster processing.

We will see if our case is going to the local USCIS field office in Sacramento or some other service center.

Was your original office California? I just got the same status and I'm also wondering what it means. Did you have an AOS interview?

Yes, we had our AOS interview in Sacramento.... Yes our original Service Center was California Service Center. I don't know yet where our case is going, we have not received the NOA yet in the mail.

My understanding is they are moving our i751 case from its current USCIS office to another, they do that for two reasons, 1) to balance workload between service centers; or 2) to send it to a local field office to schedule an interview.

Can't know why until I know where our case has been transfer to.

I just got another notice saying the same thing, but dated December 23 instead of 22. So my app is literally saying status changed from case transferred and new office has jurisdiction to case was transferred and a new office has jurisdiction. I hope this doesn't mean they messed up my case in some way. We'll wait and see what this change is all about.
