Hey, I need help please

I corrected my name in my current passport to match my birth certificate, but I forgot to mention my wrong name in the other name section in Ds-260, will that be an issue during interview? .

If this will be an issue, how can I correct the DS-260 now, as I’m already DQ and waiting for my interview?

Please give your valuable input on how to resolve this issue

Was this an official name or a spelling mistake?

It’s like this for eg

Birth. C & Current name - Karan Eddie khan

Old name- Eddie khan raj

An old passport is issued in the old name

If the birth certificate had the correct name how did this other name even come into being?

In Pakistan it’s very common the have the first name (family name), parents didn’t think much of it and added it to the passport when the child was a baby, this is was never corrected until the beneficiary grew up and fixed it.

how do you think we should go about it

Do you have an old birth certificate (handwritten, municipal corporation/Union Council style), or only a NADRA one?

It sounds like you had two different names, both of which were official, and not simply a first name+no last name situation.  This being the case, you should probably have written these down under "other names used"

Yes but that just has the name ‘Eddie’ on it and the Nadra one has the corrected full name

Yes we realize that a mistake has been made. How do you think we can fix it? Should we call the nvc and let them know or inform the CO at the interview?
