Hey guys,

 

We are preparing our K1 visa to be sent off. Just wondering if anyone could look over my contents? i don't know if i've added too much! or if i've forgotten to include something. I don't believe the petitioner & beneficiary need to complete a fed police cert for the I-129f and the DS-160. Please correct me if i'm wrong. 

Contents include:

  • Payment in the amount of $ ______

  • Form G-1145 E- notification of application and petition acceptance

  • Form G-1450 - Authorisation for credit card transactions

  • I-129F

  • I-129F Supplement: Part 2, Question 34.a, explanation of meeting in person

  • X2 Passport style photo (Petitioner)

  • X2 Passport style photo (Beneficiary)

  • Birth certificate/US Passport (Petitioner) pages

  • Birth Certificate/ Australian Passport (Beneficiary) pages

  • A letter certifying intent to marry (Petitioner and Beneficiary) (Pages

Evidence of bona fide relationship.

  • Random pictures together (pages) 

  • Pictures with beneficiaries family and friends. (pages)

  • Pictures together via social media posts (pages)

  • Pictures together (pages).

  • Screenshot of Instagram messages where we are discussing wedding plans (pages)

  • Messages via social media and iPhone text messages. (pages)

Proof of living together. 

  • Rental agreement. (pages)

  • Joint car insurance (pages)

  • Utility bills (pages)

  • ING joint bank account (pages)

Proof of travelling together. 

  • Boarding pass (pages)

  • Passport stamps (pages)

  • Itineraries (pages)

  • Airbnb receipts (pages)

Proof of plans to move to the United States together. 

  • Petitioner communicating with family and friends moving back to the states on social media (pages)

Proof of Petitioner & Beneficiary communicating with each other’s family and friends (pages)

Proof of ongoing relationships:

  • Pictures together

  • iPhone & social media text messages

Copies of documents submitted are exact photocopies of unaltered documents and I understand that I may be required to submit original documents to an Immigration or Consular officer at a later date.

Later at the embassy stage, the beneficiary provides AFP National Police Check with complete disclosure. For complete disclosure choose category Code ‘33’ – Immigration/Citizenship – for supply to the Department of Immigration and Border Protection. https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/Visa-Reciprocity-and-Civil-Documents-by-Country/australia.html

 

Don't choose Code '35'. That is just standard disclosure.

Since you are already living together, why not just get married and go the CR-1 route? Difference in adjudication is 2-4 months. CR-1 route is far better.

Immigration journey is not: fast, for the faint at heart, easy, cheap, for the impatient nor right away. If more than 50% of this applies to you, best get off the bus.

OP really wants to get married in the US, but as mentioned in the other thread marriage during ESTA visit is definitely a valid option:

Also doing the legal marriage in Australia and big renewal of vows ceremony in the US is an alternate option.
