Check to see if your embassy is processing visas and which ones. If your results return 999 that indicates that they are still not processing that visa type. Your mileage may vary.

We need a little housekeeping on your end. Many of our answers are predicated on the information you supply in your profile. When we look at the left column and can't determine your timeline OR your Embassy it's hard for us to give you a factual answer. Our answers will sometimes be tailored to a specific Embassy hence the reason for you to complete your profile. If you look at the profile of others here, they have a flag for their country, so it makes it easy for us to reply as we can quickly determine their Embassy. The country that should be used is the country where the interview will take place.

So, if you could help yourself out and complete your profile that sure would help us out when we want to reply to your question with factual information.

Thank you

It means that Islamabad embassy is only doing emergency appointment interviews. They are still closed for routine visa adjudication. As we have opined your stuck until they reopen and right now, they are NOT open.

My fiance just filed the pettion on 11th November, sounds like over patience test has just started.

You most likely have over a year wait to get to the interview.  Cases are piling up at NVC since March.  Not to mention there is a significant backlog at ISL and that consulate is crippled by the perpetual inability to obtain document checks and background data from Pakistan itself.

And probably >2 years to get either a visa approval or denial.

That was very encouraging to hear all of that LOL, But we're being very optimistic, and believe by time Biden is in the office, vibes of DOS will change as he promised to reverse trumps policies by first four executive orders which does include immigration. We are hoping they will resume K1 processing as normal. We are hopeful. 🙌

Biden is not the President elect yet as the votes have not been certified in each and every state. When the votes are certified then the electoral college will meet, and we will have a final vote with the President elect announced. The US media doesn't get to certify the election. This is all based on law and our constitution. So, uncross your fingers and take a deep breath as we are still in election processing and Biden is not BOOKED as the final decision of the American people. Yes, you are being extremely optimistic. Good luck and stay engaged.

The issue of elongated processing and AP times predates Trump.  It has gotten longer since Pakistan has done little (or really nothing) to fix the issues about documents and personal identity.  You don't have to look further than the henleypassportindex to see how little value a Pakistani Passport has been for a long time.  Removing the Presidential Proclamations will allow visas to be issued but the pipeline is still clogged.  A new administration will be limited to increasing visa and USCIS services worldwide as it requires an increase in fees since those services are paid by the applicants and not the American Taxpayers.  The Obama/Biden administration and democratic (1st Term with full democratic majorities) congress refused to address this issue and there is no congressional mandate to deal with it.  The new administration will most likely not deal with the cost issues until the system shuts itself down.  These are issues that have plagued the system for over 14 years.

I was referring to K1 not being interviewed at all for over 8 months now, which has created a backlog or a good word would be a ''mess'' AP is understandable for countries like Pakistan but as far as i know Pakistan have given access to US embassy of its citizen database NADRA this was one of he reasons Pakistan was not put on Trump travel ban like other few countries which have weak security system in place. After all US embassy in Islamabad is one of the largest embassies in the world.
