Hello!

Haven't been here in a while and kinda lost the plot.
Wife has 2 year green card, and this month is our 1 year anniversary. Originally came here on K-1. We need to remove conditions and as far as i know, researched before, we can file N400 and I-751 together, and have one interview.

Can we still file those two together to have a combined interview? Hope nothing change since my last visit here.
What is the time window to send in those forms? (1 year, 90days before the expiration of GC?)

Do the checks have to be separated for each form? (assuming yes)

The proof of relationship is the usual stuff, Lease, insurance, 401k, photos etc. Right?

Everything else seems fairly straight forward and less of a hassle paper-wise than AoS or K-1.

Probably a redundant question - if this was recently answered - i'll delete my post

Thanks!

The N400 cannot be filed until the third anniversary of the GC (not the marriage) less 90 days, so a year after the I751 is filed for ROC for anyone with a 2 year GC.  If you do file the N400 while the I751 is still in process, then it is likely you will have a combined interview eventually, but that is not a certainty as processing times vary wildly among the local offices that process the N400.  So to answer your question, you cannot file the I751 and N400 at the same time.

Good Luck!

Hey:

Thanks for reply!
I'll start compiling paperwork for ROC.
What is really needed?
Form I-751
Passport Photos (?)

Check for fee
Copy of her GC

Proof of living together (Lease, Pictures, Bank statement, tax returns, Copy of car insurance of us being on same policy)

Is the Affidavit of people really needed?

Am i missing here something? As this form seems very thin compared to AoS or K1, in terms of proof of relationship.

Passport photos are only required if you live overseas.

Yes, Yes, Yes, No (for affidavits), but if you can get some easily, they can't hurt.

The lion's share of the evidence you will submit with the I751 will be the Proof of Living together and comingling of the marriage.  There is no set list of information you have to provide as you can only send what you have, but the list you show would be good, but I would also include joint utility bills.  One thing you may consider is doing simple wills and living wills.

Good Luck!
