Renewed EAD/AP card - Wrong 'valid date'?

Hello,

The start date on my renewed EAD/AP card does not seem right.

My first EAD/AP card:

Valid from - 02/11/20

Expires - 02/10/21

My renewed EAD/AP card:

Valid from - 10/23/20 Shouldn't this card become valid the day after my first card expires e.g. 02/11/21?

Expires - 10/22/21

Thanks!

It seems to be random. I've seen recent comments of people getting like yours and with start date at the end of the old card.

That is annoying. I am essentially loosing approx 3 months worth of EAD/AP.

Thanks for the reply!

I think that's fine. I guess the valid from date for your second EAD is the day it gets approved. Same thing happened in my case, my approval date was my valid from date. I thought of calling them but I received my GC in the same week. Since the GC supercedes the EAD, there is no point in questioning it. But yes, I think it's fine as long as ur valid from date matches ur EAD approval date.
