Apologies if someone has asked this question already. USEM is still close at the moment and when you call you get the same answer as they  cannot book you an interview appt still but they do a few visa interviews according to the agent I spoke to on the phone last time I rang. I have read quite a lot of people requested to expedite and got interview appt in Manila. However, most of them if not all are applying for spousal visa. In fact, a friend of mine has been given an interview appt in mid Sept and she is now in the US.

I’m a K1 beneficiary with a US citizen child who is now turning 3 this year bless him. Partner has been deployed in 2018 so we applied mid 2019. Got my case ready in USEM March but due to the lockdown wasn’t able to get medical & interview appt.
Can anyone please share their thoughts on what to prepare to do this request? My friend said email NVC but also read I can directly email embassy Manila. Any thoughts is greatly appreciated x

our case is still at nvc but partner has upcoming military transfer orders so we emailed both manila embassy and nvc expedite at the same time. email to embassy is requesting them to ask nvc to forward our case to manila. email to nvc is requesting them to reach out to manila embassy for expedited handling. embassy replied first and they said they reached out to nvc to have our case transferred to embassy. i am now following up with nvc for acknowledgment of embassy's message but no reply yet. case status still at nvc though, been 3 days since embassy's response.

Go to the Philippines regional forum.   Others have discussed expedite requests

This is their response after mailing them:

We are writing in response to your October 8, 2020 inquiry regarding your fiancee (K1) visa case.

We note your request for an expedited appointment.

Effective August 28, as it becomes safe to resume more consular operations at each U.S. mission, posts are authorized to give K visa cases high priority.  At this time, the U.S. Embassy in the Philippines has resumed limited K visa processing given local conditions and available resources.

The Embassy is prioritizing the following K applicants:

  • K-1/K-2 visa cases where the K-2 child will age out (turn 21 years of age) before December 31, 2020.
  • K-2 follow-to-join applicants will age out (turn 21 years of age) before December 31, 2020.
  • K-2 follow-to-join applicants will lose eligibility within the 18 months allowed as a follow-to-join from the time when the K-1 principal alien was issued a K visa.
  • K1 applicants waiting for visa appointments in order to travel to the U.S. with their U.S. citizen child.

If you believe that your application meets any of these four criteria, please directly email IVManilaReplies@state.gov with the case number and the applicant names and requests will be reviewed.

The Embassy will also consider the prioritization of the following K applicants:

  • Petitioner is an active U.S. military member with pending deployment.
  • Petitioner with documented medical issues who is currently in the Philippines and unable to travel to the U.S. without assistance from the K1 applicant.

For those applicant who meet the either of two above criteria, please also directly email IVManilaReplies@state.gov with the case number, the petitioner and applicant names, an explanation for the appointment request, and scanned supporting documents.  These requests will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

Other K visa applicants should check our website at https://ph.usembassy.gov/visas/visa-updates/ on when the Embassy will resume routine K visa processing.  Once confirmed on the Embassy's website, K visa applicants should follow the instructions on the website.

The resumption of routine visa services, including that of K visas, is carefully calibrated in order to safely bring our clients and our workforce to Department facilities. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we all navigate these uncertain times.

Sincerely,

Did you follow the instructions in the reply you received from the embassy? That's what you need to do. Read the reply carefully and follow their directions.

Also, there is a sub-forum for the Philippines here on VJ that you should be a part of the conversation. It's a good place to read what others are experiencing which will better prepare you for your interview.
