Hello,

So we are working on submitting the DS260 along with the civil documents. For the civil documents requirement it says if the beneficiary has lived in any country for over a year (which they have), a police clearance is required.

Do we need to submit this clearance report as part of the civil documents or is the local police clearance enough? And can we bring this police clearance for the other country to the interview?

Reason being is to get the police clearance from the other country they require a notice from the US requesting the police clearance from that country for the benficiary. Which I don't currently have.

Local police report usually isn't enough, but you need to check the specifics for your country on the NVC website.

Here's the example for Mexico
