Good evening everyone! Finally, without expediting, I got an email last 10/8 from NVC stating my interview date at USEM.

I am planning to do my medical 2 weeks prior to my interview date. I wanna know if you have any idea, how many days does the medical will take?

Any suggested safe and clean hotel nearby at SLEC to stay for 2 nights? Your answers will be much appreciated. Thank you so much! 😊

Good day, my wife just did her medical this past week.  Medical was done in one day, it just all depends on your TB results. She completed the day one test in the morning and was told to return in the afternoon to complete. As far as hotels, we booked across from the embassy at Bayview Park. But did not know until after she arrived there that they also are a quarantined facility. After hearing that, i searched and a majority of Hotels there are accepting quarantine people. I am sure there are some that dont, but just a heads up before you book.

Hi @TShayne, that's good to hear that your wife able to finish the medical for one day only. By the way, when you knew that Bayview Park was a quarantine facility, did your wife still check-in on that hotel or not? If yes, is it safe to stay there for at least 2 nights? I am planning to book too at Bayview Park.

Yes, we booked for 3 nights, but since the medical took only one day, she only stayed two nights. She had no complaints. Breakfast is brought to ur room. Will book again there for her interview.

No, she had to get medical certificate and travel pass from her local government.  She is from Albay. But no issue at the airport. She used their shuttle to get to the hotel.

How long before the interview should you have the medical? My wife’s medical is scheduled for October 19th and her interview is October 27th. Does this seem like appropriate timing?

That is fine.

Just depends if the person has to travel by bus or plane to Manila or if they live close.

And now of days with the COVID going on, it seems as if a few people are getting Medical done in one day.

It seems as if the lion share of people always try to do medical on Monday, and I suspect that will be the busiest day of the week for medical.   I always suggested doing it on a Wednesday and not going at the crack of dawn and falling in lines for hours waiting for them to let people in.

Hi there, based on the email that i received from NVC, they are suggesting me to do my medical 2 weeks before the interview date at US Embassy. My interview date will be on Nov 10th. Earlier the better so I planned to have my walk in medical this coming 19th of Oct.  Monday was indeed a busy day but i prefer doing it on that day because i already filed a leave from my work.

Are food establishments opened in that area?  I know it quite well, there is a JCO Donuts right next door to Bayview and they have the best donuts I have ever had.  And one block past is a Papa Johns Pizza that has American tasting pizza and they will deliver to your hotel room for 50 pesos.  There is also a Chow king super close on Roxas Blvd.
