What's in the "Records of Removal from the US?"

Hi VisaJourney,

First things first ... Many Congratulations for such a great forum !!! 👌🏻

 

History: In July 2020, My BF's requested via USCIS-FOIA for "Records of Removal from the US;" He's just got a response from that Office, in which he's requested for more specific information - What does he want?

 

Since he was administratively removed, We've been trying to find out how were the proceedings terminated/adjudicated as well as any other information that may be helpful to understand what did really happen.

 

Question: Here's why my question is about What's supposed to be in the "Records of Removal from the US?"

Sounds like you should FOIA the department (ICE or CBP) that did the removal, not USCIS.

Truthfully enough, that was our first option!

 

Then FOIA from ICE redirected us to USCIS ... We submitted FOIA request to USCIS and we could get the A-File; (including CBP, FBI, ICE, etc. information) though there's nothing in there about "Records of Removal from the US;" much less adjudication/termination.
