Approved for Expedited Handling

After receiving 3 RFE's for proof of domicile from NVC, I decided to get my Senator involved and received my DQ about 30 days later for my stepson.   After reading about USEM expediting cases here I decided to try for expedited processing also due to the cost of buying a home and maintaining a separate apartment in the Philippines.  Submitted to NVC on 11 September and just received the approval today for both my wife and stepson.  I was expecting a denial as I did not provide any hard proof for the expedite request and it was sent immediately to the embassy.  I thought I would be asked to submit proof at a separate time.

However, the expedite request came back approved.  I don't know if this was due to the fact that my Senator had stated that he asked that his name be attached to the file as a special interest for him in getting the original DQ and would follow my progress for the next 90 days or the USEM being generous in their granting of expedited processing requests.  Whatever the reason we are thankful and moving ahead.

Requested an expedite Sept 1. NVC acknowledged it on Sept 8 and sent the request to Manila. Manila approved it Sept 17! I don't know why it took so long. I included proof. Hopefully, the embassy doesn't sit on the approval request for 2 months. I'm hoping for a appointment letter by next week.

Hi! Our expedite request was also approved. We received the approval email around 2-3weeks ago, but haven’t heard from USEM. Any luck getting an interview date?

Hello all, I just want to share as I'm on the same boat. Expedite request approved. so i scheduled my daughter's medical and email embassy when she's done. Embassy get back to me after 3 business days with interview scheduled date. Though st.lukes used to have 1day medical process for minor, now it takes 2 days. Then if your child has colds and cough you can't finish the medical.

Wow, that’s good news! I’m done with my medical exam - I went even prior to receiving any advice from the Embassy. Just a question, did you receive any instruction regarding emailing the embassy on the completion of the medical exam or you just did on your own? Thanks

I did everything on my own. I just keep them posted. Hahaha

Hahah. That's good to know! I"ll probably do the same and email them about the completion of my medical examination. Hopefully this might speed up scheduling of my interview. If you don't mind me asking, when is your daughter's scheduled interview? Just want to estimate our timeline.

Many thanks!
