Refugee of other country cr1 visa

I would like to ask you a question about my wife’s visa interview.

I am a Us citizen and I have got married 2 years ago. 
My wife had political problems in Turkey ( she is Turkey’s citizen) and had to cross the border from Turkey to Greece. And she applied for Asylum in Greece. She now has an visa interview on September 1 in Greece but she only has a paper given by Greek police. Do you think if the embassy would ask for an additional document from her about being in a different country other than her hometown?

Yes, she will definitely be asked why she is in another country, but it may or may not have any impact on the case.

She only has a paper given by police authorities and that’s it. They also ask for a 2019 tax return from the co-sponsor but the co-sponsor have not filed yet. They have extended it and they have a document for that. Is it okay if she shows that paper when they ask for 2019 tax return transcript? 
Last question is I have called the hospital for the medical examination last week and gave all the necessary informations they still have not contacted with me to schedule appointment. I called them and they are saying that the embassy still did not confirm that we have appointment on september 1st. 
Our visa interview is on september 1st which is in 10 days. Does it always take couples of weeks to embassy to confirm it for the hospital?

December 21, 2023:  Production of new Green Card ordered - will be seeing USCIS again every 10 years for renewal
