Man with marijuana tucked behind ear asks PSL cop for directions

By Paul Quinlan

Palm Beach Post Staff Writer

Thursday, June 21, 2007

PORT ST. LUCIE — A 20-year-old ended up in jail Wednesday when the police officer whom he asked for directions noticed a marijuana "blunt" tucked behind his ear, police say.

Maurice Stuckey, of Stuckey, Ill., was arrested on a charge of marijuana possession.

While on foot patrol, Officer Matthew J. Wood noticed Stuckey pull his red Chryslter two-door into the convienience store parking lot at 1651 N.W. St. Lucie West Blvd. at about 3:30 p.m.

Stuckey walked into the store and approached Wood, asking for directions.

Seeing the "blunt," a cigar that has been hollowed out and re-filled with marijuana, Wood asked Stuckey to step outside, his report stated.

Wood inquired about the "blunt." Stuckey told him it contained marijuana, the report stated.

A search of Stuckey's car turned up a plastic bag with five grams of marijuana in a purse on the driver's side floor board.

Police say Stuckey admitted the bag of marijuana was his.

Stuckey was held at St. Lucie County Jail until about 12:45 a.m., when he posted $500 bond.

Almost as dumb as the one who asked the police to test what he thought (and actually turned out to be) a crack purchase.

Peace to All creatures great and small............................................

But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).
