Hi

i received a latter from NVC, that they are working with US Embassy/Consultant DHK for setup and interview. And NVC will notify us with interview date. But its been 2 month we did not get any response from NVC

My ques are, Does my case will effect by Trump Executive orders, which is suspended visa till Dec 31?
How long NVC will take to set up that interview appointment? Which month we should expect the call for interview?

Note: visa category- IR1. Applied on 2017 dec with green card. And status changed on july. Got NVC email on june.

Please help us to understand. Thanks in advance..

Spousal visas aren't affected by the executive order. Keep in mind with the coronavirus pandemic, many embassies still are not open to schedule interviews right now. I'm not sure if Dhaka embassy is open but it could be a while. You should check out the regional forum for South Asia to see if anyone else is having similar experience and to keep track on the status of the Dhaka embassy https://www.visajourney.com/forums/forum/91-asia-south/

They could possibly still be working on interviews that were cancelled due to covid, as well as working on backlogged cases gained during the closure as well. Just be patient.. Timelines are longer in many places now because of Covid-related closure backlogs
