My husband has gotten a 22g paper and now his status said refused he was not ask to bring any documents and the officer still has his passport will they mail his papers and passport back to him .

They may have explained to him at the interview why he was receiving the 221g.  If they did not it may say on the form itself.  Most of the time it is just a general term they use for further processing needed.  They will hold his passport until complete.  Once they are finished their review they will return the passport  (If approved with a Visa inside).  If the Administrative processing takes more than 6 months after his medical they will contact him once complete to re-take the medical exam.
