I just got off the phone with Pat, he told me he is 100% SURE he sent it to the right address!

IT HAS TO BE THERE!!!!

I wish I can send it again but I don't have the BLUE LETTER. It will be worhtless cause Pat has to sing it and mark a question in that blue letter and send it with another letter explaining why we didn't mark that.

We only have a copy of that letter and a I have it here scanned so.....IT HAS TO BE SOMEWHERE!!!!

How did you send it? Can't you track it or obtain proof of delivery?

Bill, that is what I asked Pat, he send it overnight, he got a receipt but he was in a big rush at work, skipped work to go the post office, ran back to work again and he doesn't remember where he put it! But he says that it has to be there!!! He is positive he wrote the right address and they must have it since VT is 3 hours from NY!!!

Senator Jim Webb

Virginia

Dear Senator Jim Webb,

My name is Lora Pauley Heflin and I have lived in Northern Virginia for most of my life. I have been so very proud to be from Virginia and to be an American. I have travel extensively doing medical mission work and have taken many exchange students from around the world into my home. In December of 2005 I was in Quito, Ecuador visiting one of those exchange students when I met who I wish to become my future husband. After many visits and hours of chats and countless emails I applied for a K1 Visa from the Vermont Service Center. They recieved the application on June 5 2007 and I recieved a NOA1 on June 10, 2007. As I write you on November 20 it has been 170 days....10 days from a full 6 months and no answer from USCIS. I have 3 request from you with this letter...1. to request information as to the status of my individual case and 2. to look into the matter of irregularities in adjudicating K1 visas ie out of order and extremely slow processing and 3. the extremely bad customer service that is recieved by petitioners by USCIS ie bad information, misinformation, or outdated information. Thank you for your attention to this matter for me. I am attaching a copy of the certified letter I mailed to Mr Paul Novak, Director VSC and my personal information on my own visa application. I hope that during the next legislative session that possibly some inquiry can be done on this situation and resolution to improving the USCIS processing of family based visas can be streamlined and improved.

Tell Pat that his being sure does not help and to go find the receipt! Also, depending on who he used, they might be able to identify the shipment based on some other information. Some of the delivery companies can do that.

Senator Jim Webb

Virginia

Dear Senator Jim Webb,

My name is Lora Pauley Heflin and I have lived in Northern Virginia for most of my life. I have been so very proud to be from Virginia and to be an American. I have traveled extensively doing medical mission work and have taken many exchange students from around the world into my home. In December of 2005 I was in Quito, Ecuador visiting one of those exchange students when I met whom I wish to become my future husband. After many visits and hours of chats and countless emails I applied for a K1 Visa from the Vermont Service Center.

The service center received my petition on June 5 2007 and I received an NOA1 on June 10, 2007. As I write you on November 20 it has been 170 days - 10 days from a full 6 months - and as yet, there has been no answer from USCIS.

I have three requests from you with this letter:

1. Information as to the status of my individual case

2. An investigation into the matter of irregularities in adjudicating K1 visas, ie out of received order and extremely slow processing, and

3. An investigation into the extremely bad customer service from USCIS that is experienced by petitioners, ie misinformation, or outdated information.

Thank you for your attention to this matter. I am attaching a copy of the certified letter I mailed to Mr Paul Novak, Director VSC, and my personal information regarding my own visa application. I hope that during the next legislative session that some inquiry can be made into this situation, with the result that the USCIS processing of family-based visas can be streamlined and improved.

Day One: Went to Council of Elrond. Was prettiest person there. Agreed to follow some tiny little man to Mordor to throw ring into volcano. Very important mission - gold ring so tacky.

Day Six: Far too dark in Mines of Moria to brush hair properly. Am very afraid I am developing a tangle.

Orcs so silly.

Still the prettiest.

Day 35: Boromir dead. Very messy death, most unnecessary. Did get kissed by Aragorn as he expired. Does a guy have to get shot full of arrows around here to get any action? Boromir definitely not prettier than me. Cannot understand it. Am feeling a pout coming on.

Frodo off to Mordor with Sam. Tiny little men caring about each other, rather cute really.

Am quite sure Gimli fancies me. So unfair. He is waist height, so can see advantages there, but chunky braids and big helmet most off-putting. Foresee dark times ahead, very dark times.

Chances are also halfway decent too that they only work a half a day today.

Don't know for a fact they will, but lots of places like to give their employees a head start on a long weekend.

So I imagine the next 4 days or so will be dead both here and there.

Also, I definitely think it is time to send a letter to Mr. Novak as well, just in case.

I think they are working , I got a first touch today after long silence  hope it is not RFE

The Very Secret Diary of Legolas Son of Weenus - by Cassandra Claire

Day One: Went to Council of Elrond. Was prettiest person there. Agreed to follow some tiny little man to Mordor to throw ring into volcano. Very important mission - gold ring so tacky.

Day Six: Far too dark in Mines of Moria to brush hair properly. Am very afraid I am developing a tangle.

Orcs so silly.

Still the prettiest.
