Waiting for a NOA2 from VSC for your I-129F?

Alright, I just called my lawyer and I'm kinda scared about contacting Pat's congressman. I told him that some friends had recommended me to contact Pat's congressman if we don't hear anything from USCIS by the 6 months timeframe.....and he said that it could work or it could delay things more cause USCIS doesn't like when applicants get congressman involved with this, he said he wouldn't do that. So I was very pissed off and just wanted to get off the phone cause we payed him for nothing.....anyways, I asked him very straight, what do you recommend us? He said, Wait for the notice and don't send any letters.

The @sshole said that in case USCIS exceed the 6 months, they will let us know and I asked if he has any idea for how long more could that be in case it happens...and you know what he said!?!!? I don't know, I'm not the government, it's up to USCIS.....

MOFO!

Now, I don't know what to do......I only hope I get my NOA2 ASAP!!!!!

FIRE HIM! You just paid for that useless phone call.

Fire him!!?? I wish...We paid him in May to do our process......it will be useless to hire another lawyer.....

Mirla - your lawyer is a chopf##k who doesn't know what he's talking about. Stories on VJ directly contradict what your lawyer said about congressional involvement. I hate lawyers who try to instill fear in their clients. Very unprofessional.

You're right....I'm gonna wait today and see if I have any good news otherwise I will talk to my fiance about trying to contact his congressman......I just know he's gonna be more pissed of at USCIS....

Actually I think it depends on the lawyer. We didn't pay ours up front, and have only paid 25% of what we will eventually pay. She has it spread out so I think the last payment is once we have the interview for the Green Card.

Either way, though, I agree they can be as bad as the gov't. I'm not sure ours has really been helpful, aside from taking some stress and time off my hands.

I can only explain it that we maybe had a very good organized petition, a lot of proofs and we both had no "complications" in our past, like previous marriages, children, a lot of relocations and so on. Or maybe we just had luck .

And ja, you are also right that everything is in the moment very fast for us. I have already received the pack 3 from the embassy in Germany.

How about this for a thought...

Why didn't the VSC and CSC brilliant management in June and July when they saw the K1/K3 processing times going through the roof, simply start FEDEXing some box loads to the Texas and Nebraska service centers and let them help out until they got caught up on receipting, etc?

Let's see, I guess looking at the TSC processing times, they didn't want to make all these 2 month and less employment VISAs to have to get delayed, nor the 1000/month Iraqi refugees coming in per month...
