The local police called me after lunch today. They told me my request for Travel Authority is not applicable for local stranded individual, OFWs and foreign ler who wants to go back in their home country. Ive been calling and updating them for updates because the issuance of Travel Authority has been suspended more than a week now. Im sad and disappointed.

The purpose of Travel is my Medical Exam in SLEC, i wish they give me consideration.

Does anyone has same situation also?

Im from Cebu.

Like it was really open before in the Philippines.

Seems like a pattern evolving with them postponing interviews each month,  this is starting to get old real fast

Has NVC stopped processing applications?  If not and these keep getting sent over to the embassies, there will be huge backlogs which would take many months to clean out.  We are already looking at significant backlogs as is.

The United States is now a country obsessed with the worship of its own ignorance.  Americans are proud of not knowing things.  They have reached a point where ignorance, is an actual virtue.  To reject the advice of experts is to assert autonomy, a way for Americans to insulate their increasingly fragile egos from ever being told they're wrong about anything.  It is a new Declaration of Independence: no longer do we hold these truths to be self-evident, we hold all truths to be self-evident, even the ones that arent true.  All things are knowable and every opinion on any subject is as good as any other.  The fundamental knowledge of the average American is now so low that it has crashed through the floor of "uninformed", passed "misinformed", on the way down, and now plummeting to "aggressively wrong."

NVC is still processing but hasn't shipped petitions for a couple of months or more

YMMV

The Philippines is in a state of calamity until at least mid-September.  I can easily see the embassy not opening until October-January period.  The embassy always takes the most conservative route.  True with the whole government.  Ive traveled to many Level 4 countries and not had any issues, plus a ton of level 3 and never experienced anything listed in their travel warnings.
