Hello,

I am waiting on a few things from my fiancee who is in the Philippines. Once I get those items I can send in our forms. Other then her getting a passport, is there anything she needs to file or apply for? or does she just wait till she gets her information packet and follows the instructions?

Thanks

Your fiancee can get stuff like a police report taken care of, but they do have a limited validitiy (3 to 6 months), so dont do it too soon. Other than, she can make sure she gets her birth certificate and get it translated if nessary.

Eventually, she'll need to get a police certificate from the places she's lived in (including her own country). They are valid for different lengths of time depending on the issuing country. It may be something you can apply for now or something you need to wait for so it is still valid by the time she gets to an interview. Check your regional forum, perhaps, for more details.

Only things needed from your fiancee to start the petition is a Compleated G-325A and a Letter of intent.

To start the K-1 :guide: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.ph...mp;page=k1guide

You are a bit ahead of your self with the passport, she can apply for that while you are waiting for the petition to get approved and sent on to the embassy in Manila.

OUR TIME LINE Please do a timeline it helps us all, thanks.

Is now a US Citizen immigration completed Jan 12, 2012.

Maybe we should start a thread that will list what each consulates validity period is... because I believe the majority of the consulates would report in that a PC is valid for 1 year, but I have no actual evidence to support. Overall, I think this would be good information to have posted somewhere...

YMMV

Have her get all her [3 certified copies] NSO documents including CENOMAR. NBI clearance. Look into doing CFO.

Police clearance if she's worked in another country more than 6 months.

Check all documents for accuracy.

LOTS of mistakes on documents in the Philippines that take time to correct!

K1 denied, K3/K4, CR-1/CR-2, AOS, ROC, Adoption, US citizenship and dual citizenship

!! ALL PAU!

Since you are just getting started you seem to have the needed things in order. You might find it helpful to get other things translated like medical records and school transcripts. These will be helpful in the future but not necessary for the I-129F processing.
