We applied for a k1 and we got an email from the nvc . It’s been over a month and we have not received anything , we still need an invoice ID to pay our fees . The Moroccan consulate has not send us any welcome letter yet with the necessary instructions and our case still seems to be in transit. When will we receive our

invoice ID or new instructions ?

Timeline

You are a long way off from the interview and paying the fee

you will not get an invoice from NVC as the K1 fee is paid to the embassy

when the embassy opens ,  they have 1st to catch up with all the cancelled interviews

then,  they will deal with the ones they receive and the CR1's at NVC that can be scheduled/ they will be giving prioity to spouse as the K1 is not exempt under the current EO

Casa does not send a welcome letter per se,  you will receive an email saying case it at the embassy and how to schedule the interview (K1) and at that time, you will discover you need to check early in the day at the site as the time slots will fill up fast.

Only time a welcome letter (phamlet) is given out is when the interview is approved and you need to pay attention to the applying for SS and registering with selective service

you will have many more questions between now and the end of the immigration process (to AOS, ROC, get Advanced parole) so fill out the timeline in your profilw so you get the best info possible

Thank you for the information .

would I be able to fill out the DS-160 and the affidavit now ? Or do I need to wait until they notify me that they received my k1 ?
