Hello, I was arrested in high school for a prank gone bad, a group of friends and I tried to move a large wooden statue of a bear outside of a restaurant across the street and were caught in the act. The bear was worth more than $1000 so we were charged with grand larceny (a felony) and resisting arrest for trying to run away. The judge dismissed the charges, gave us 20 hours of community service and sealed the case (so I don't have any official record of this)

I know I have to disclose this fact in the i-129 and will do so (I just finished law school and I've had to disclose it when I applied to law school, when I got a job at a law firm, and I will have to disclose it again when applying to take the bar exam). But I'm just wondering if this can hurt my chances or make the process take longer? And if so, what I can do to avoid that?

Thanks!

It isn't going to hurt the petition as long as it is disclosed.

Were you a juvenile or adult? Disclose it and make sure your fiance is aware of it. I have three misdemeanors from 16 years ago on my record. Still waiting for NOA2...almost 5 months now.
