As per the USCIS policy outline, you can provide a report of no credit score found from a credit bureau. That should just mean that you tried to get a report but because you don't have a SSN, you cannot run the report. The details are here https://www.uscis.gov/policy-manual/volume-8-part-g-chapter-9 

I learned the hard way, I hope YOU don't have to. Advice: learn, learn, learn.
