There was a slight delay in the very beginning because apparently the service center divided our packet in a way that the payment was separated (?) Our lawyers submitted it so we never found out for sure what happened. We got 2 NOAs: one saying that the petition was in process and other one saying it had been rejected (on the same day!). Our lawyers had to get it fixed. Later on, there was another delay after the NOA 2 (September 12, 2019). A month after the NOA, we got an email saying "NVC will now forward the petition to the U.S. Embassy or Consulate in Buenos Aires, Argentina." (October 29, 2019). But then it only took another month for the embassy to begin processing my visa case (November 26, 2019) and things went really fast from there, mainly thanks to my then fiance and I. We are going to do the AOS soon, on our own. |

I had to expedite my I-131 because of a family emergency. They were extremely helpful, understanding, diligent and fast! They approved both the EAD and the Advance Parole as a combo card.
Had to request to reschedule original appointment (September 17) because I was still abroad due to family emergency.
I got the biometrics appointment notice even though I already have my EAD.
Got new biometrics appointment notice on Dec 12 (could be that they need to fix the fingerprints they got from me or just an error. I called and they guessed it's the former). |
