Hey everyone.  I am new to this and really appreciate a forum of this nature which i hope will make the process for newbies like myself much smoother.  My daughter is a US citizen, over 21yrs but is a full time student.  she will therefore not fulfill the financial requirements.  Can she still sponsor me?

Assuming you are Oversea, yes she can sponsor you. She would need someone who can financially co-sponsor

@eddyafro welcome to the April filers group.

I Please can anybody shed some light on this issue, My husband was supposed to file for both my son and I...but due to the requirements to prove me as his wife, and also my passport was expiring, We decided to put in my sons application before mine, I haven't submitted mine yet, I'm in the USA with my husband but my son is in Kenya. Does anybody know if this will affect my son's application since I haven't submitted mine yet?

You have to provide more details such as which visa you are holding being in the US. Why hasn’t Your husband sponsored you, but sponsored YOUR son?  How old is your son? If he can’t prove you as his wife and didn’t file for you, how can he sponsor your relative. he can only sponsor your son after he establishes relations with you and provide evidence.

I’m just confused

I'm on a B2 Visa, Initially we were gathering evidence to prove our marriage, which we have now, but now I'm in the process of renewing my passport due to covid 19 its taking a while otherwise he would've put in an application for my son and I at the same time...my son is 7 years old

To be honest, I haven’t seen a case like this before where USC didn’t file for the spouse but filed the spouse’s child first. I’ll have someone more knowledgeable than me answer this @Demise
