Quebec Birth Certificate Question

For K1 visa interview, or I suppose anything needed after getting to the US,

Do I get the Long-form version or the 'Act of Birth' version from the L'etat Civil.

Only difference is 'Act of Birth' has signatures/address of time of birth along with the parents names and place of birth, which I feel will be irrelevant and blank for me, because when I was born we had 'Baptismal Records' or w.e. so those lines wouldn't be filled out.

I also know about the translation thing. I was lucky and birth was registered in English, so I got an English copy by default.

I got the "Copie d'un acte de naissance". Birth certificate and card-sized certificate are not sufficient.

That's basically just telling me where to order one. And what to click when I get to the website.

It doesn't say which version it wants. When I go to order it, there is 3 options.

Short - which is obv not an option,

Long - which has parents names and birth place

Copy of an Act - which is the same as the long one, the only added thing is - it has signatures from parents at time of birth, and the address of them - at time of birth.

Which the third one, those lines would be blank for me because of reason stated in the OP.

Copy of an act is the one you need.

Even if the fields are blank, it's the one they want to see.

so i have the long form and just had it translated. I will now order a copy of an act of birth. Do you think if i upload the normal birth certificate be an issue in the NVC portal and have the act of birth for the interview?

Possibly. But the NVC will let you know if it's not the right one they want.  If they do accept the long form, bring everything plus translations to interview.

Uploaded the long form with translation but also ordered the act of birth with expedited delivery. So I’ll upload that one too. (Just not translated). Now it’ll be a waiting game.
