Hi,

Boston filer here. I was expecting my interview in April (not scheduled), nothing changed since the lockdown. This is getting more frustrating every day. People can dine indoors, go to churches, go to gyms etc, but I cannot become citizen? It doesn't make sense. Should we start contacting representatives?

When did you file? There are some January filers i believe to be Boston based that are still waiting for an interview. Please update your profile timeline to find other Boston filers.

I filed in October, but it doesn't matter if things are not moving at all. We need to do something about this.

What's the best way to act? Contact representatives? Call USCIS? Any suggestions?

I honestly don't know. Maybe contact USCIS and speak to a level 2 officer and see if they can shed any light?

Hi .. I filed on February. Nothing yet . I’ve seen a post this last week , a filer from Lawrence MA office field . It seems that Boston Office not taking any case yet . I agree with you that we have to do something. There is a lot of applicants in too many different states . They got their interviews / ceremonies at the same day !!!
I don’t know what’s going on here ?!! We have to do something. Let’s find out how to contact level 2 officers then we can go to the next step (  contacting a representative ) . I think we gonna stuck for a while in this situation if we don’t do any move .

guys what’s the best way to contact USCIS officer ?

You call the customer service line and when you get connected you ask to speak to a level 2 officer.

I do not think it will work though. They will say "wait". Nobody cares about naturalization. People are waiting for work permits, green cards. Apparently, N400 is not really a priority for the state. MA is a small tiny state, not sure what is going on. As usual, it took 6 months max to do it. I understand COVID situation, but we do not have so many immigrants in MA.

This is true. We currently don't know what's priority and i wish we were out of the dark.

I contacted to my lawyer, and she said that MA is busy with interviews what were canceled, and it might take several months by the time I get my interview scheduled.

I hope she is wrong :)

I mean to put into perspective...recent USCIS data from Jan 1st to Mar. 30th Boston received about 4500 applications and Lawrence received about 2300. There's what 10 of us here on this N400 forum within that time frame? So there's alot of other applicants we aren't seeing to fully see what's happening. I hope it doesn't take a long time but at this point i am not getting my hopes up.

Hi. I figured I would give you some hope. My wife is filing to be a citizen after 14 years of living here. She filed on Feb 9th online. Her biometrics appointment was on March 3rd. Her original interview date was scheduled for April 7th. That appointment was canceled April 1st. She just got her new interview date July 20th. It is scheduled for 8/14 in Boston. So hopefully they are working through the list.

Hi All,

I have good news. Fingerprints, interviews and oaths are happening in Boston.

They rescheduled couple of interviews for Aug 20 and 24 for people who originally had interviews in March and April. So, it's moving, but can move faster.

USCIS officers won't say anything but "wait", I heard some people sent emails to representatives. I really don't mind doing the same thing. Is this a good idea, would it work? Who are the reps for Boston?

Good to hear. You talked to a level 2 officer about the appointments in Boston?
