Hello, we received our I-797 Notice of Action paper indicating that our petition has been approved earlier this month (about 2.5 weeks ago, says Notice Date: 2/06/20). It says specifically to allow a minimum of 30 days before trying to take further action. Should I wait longer to contact them or should I see if I can find out the status sooner than that? My second question pertains to the police certificate or police clearance. I'm an American citizen who never lived or worked outside of the US. Can I just go to my local police and get my city records printed, or do I need to submit my finger prints and information on the edo.cjis.gov website for my national records? This is one of the requirements for my Fiances CFO in the Philippines. Sorry, I cant seem to find information about this topic. Thank you

A PC from the petitionner is not required for your fiancee to go through CFO

1.   NVC :     30 days from when you received your NOA2 is pretty close.   You will want to email NVC to request your case file # ... the reply from NVC  (with your MNL# )  will be needed by your fiancee when completing the medical.   Here is a link with info for emailing NVC

2.  You do not need a police clearance for your fiancee to complete CFO-GCP (not sure where you got that info from)

CFO info:  https://www.visaconnection-philippines.com/nvc.html   (with links to the official CFO website)

Here is a link to the guide for the visa process for the Philippines.

Thank you, I appreciate the responses. We were told by the Emigrant Services Offices and it was listed under "documents to bring" as "existing case legal documents" and she hand wrote on the side "police clearance". I guess they were mistaken though.
