Extended return flight home - stayed 80 days

I came over to America for the third time in a 6 month period to see my fiancée. I had a return ticket to go back home to Australia within 11 days however I ended up staying until now (it’s been almost 2 and a half months so I’m here legally under an esta basic tourist visa which allows you to stay up to 90 days). I’m wondering if anyone else did this -( extended their time in America after making it through customs and all that scary sh*t)- and had issues obtaining their k1 visa at all? I don’t want any issues.

this is how it played out

- I came over in late November with a return ticket for two weeks

- sent off our k1 visa a few weeks later together at the post office in Los Angeles

- I’ve stayed for 75 or so days out of the legal 90 tourist days

- heading back to Australia in less than two weeks and not coming back until I get my k1 fiancée visa and can live here legally

I was questioned at LAX when I arrived in late November and they made me out to feel like a criminal and had my bag and phone searched a luckily i got through the border security customs because I had a friend who told me this happened to her when trying to visit her fiancée and got sent back to Australia on “intent to migrate” so I didn’t want that to happen to me so I’m advance I deleted everything  on my phone and had nothing on me to make them think I was gonna overstay or try to immigrate (and I wasn’t. Everything I’ve done is legal) so I luckily got past the searches but I’ll never ever try that again because it was risky and i could have been turned back and denied entry to America for a really long time and would have ruined our visa application.

anyway I’m wondering if me staying for the legal 3 month period (not a day over!) and not sticking to my two week planned holiday here could look bad and get in the way of being approved for the k1? I’m heading back to Australia soon and wouldn’t have overstayed just wondering if anyone else has done the same. I wanted to experience life here with my fiancée before the k1 visa arrived!!!!!

Might not be an issue unless you misrepresented the purpose of your visit when questioned by immigration.

I do not recollect anybody having had issues in this situation.
