No personal experience, but did you follow the registration instructions and print a deposit slip? I suspect the 10 digit number would be on that slip?

Filed: F-2A Visa Country: Nepal
Timeline

Not sure if it’s exactly the same, may be it is, when i helped for my parent’s visitor visa application from Nepal, the process was:

1. Submit DS-160 online

2. Schedule for the interview thru ustraveldocs

3. somewhere during the scheduling, it showed the application fee and generated a 10 digit number

4. I gave that number to my parents who went to a bank, gave that number and paid the fee

5. within hours, i was able to see the available dates for the interview and then selected one for my parents, and printed the interview confirmation page.
