Hi guys,

My friend's fiancée got an RFE about her Divorce document.

She had previously sent the Divorce NISI, not knowing of course that it needed a judge's signature on it.

After getting the RFE with the same information, she got it signed and mailed it immediately.

USCIS had notified them that they received it on Nov 12, 2019.

But till date i.e. over 9 weeks they haven't received approval letter on the case from USCIS.

She said she called in 2 weeks ago, and got informed that it is still in process and they don’t require any more information from her side.

BTW, my friend lives in Delhi, India.

Is it normal for the processing to take nearly 10 weeks? What steps could they take to solve this?

Also she mentioned in I-129F form that he will sit for interview in Delhi. But turns out, the K1 interviews are held in Mumbai. Will that have any effect? I guess USCIS will handle that automatically ?

Thanks

Q1, Yes

Q2  There is nothing you can do to speed this along

Q3 The file will make its way to Mumbai where all interview are conducted for India

India has a reputation of taking a repetitively long time to adjudicate cases. 2-5 months is not unusual.
