Lost marriage certificate.

Timeline

We seem to have lost our marriage certificate and don’t know what to do. Would be marriage registry be able to replace it or  Does the consulate accept a certified copy at the time of interview? 
please help

Timeline

Get a new marriage certificate from the issuing government office before the interview at the consulate.  Often they ask to see the original document to verify that the photocopy you submitted earlier in the process is real, and if you don't have it there is a risk of delay or denial.

Thanks for your response. I will do that ASAP, but will it carry same number as on the copy submitted? That’s the only way it would match.

Hard to say if it has the same number, but you should be able to get another one in a few weeks at least depending on the government office and how fast they can issue another marriage certificate.  Just take the new original plus a photocopy to the visa interview, if asked, explain what happened, and you should be fine!
