Maybe to keep everyone happy people should just put a disclaimer when the joke may offend some. That way the people who are easily offended won't even look at it.

I was going to say for heaven's sakes... the joke is about MEN drinking beer.. she's probably seen a few guys throw back a few.. and since she's a girl.. she has every right to make fun of herself if she wishes! Golly!

I personally didn't bully anyone...and I don't think it's cool to dismiss someone's opinion with 'vj sheesh' or 'lighten up' etc. Obviously the joke's not for everyone...but what's the message being sent here 'if you find this joke offensive then you're a tightazz and <fill in the blank>'

Opinions are different...you don't have to like it, but why (ironically) people are making a big deal that some of us found it offensive is kinda funny. Read it or ignore it, but move on! Making a big deal of it by telling people they're making too big a deal about it is really silly imo.

Lisa, but you did exactly what your telling other ppl not to. And you did make a big deal out of it, even posting an example of your reason for being offended. "Read it or ignore it, but move on!" those are your words, and ill add " and voice your opinion but dont attack others for finding it funny" (not saying your attacking anyone im just stating it and adding to your statement).

I wasn't meaning just regular opinion like 'oh I found it funny' etc...what I meant was there's no need for the hoopla of 'lighten up...vj sheesh..what's the big deal' responses. I don't particularly care if people find this funny or offensive...but there's no need to belittle someone's opinion just because it's different.

I know nothing about drinking (as it would affect me cause I DONT) but i do know i am a women, i have been married to a man (that did drink) and this is a obvious example of arguing for no reason at all, so take all the issues you want and i will ask that it be close. if i for once thought i was the only one that had ever posted something on here about a subject they knew nothing about i would be also living in a dream world.

adding: you personally commented about 'the uproar about the joke'....but ironically, it's comments like those that are adding to the supposed 'uproar'....so people got offended....really, big deal....one side can't cause an 'uproar'...it takes two to tango

I am too, and i was referring to everyside on the argument as an uproar, in case that wasnt clear either, bc i know me, i can be confusing alot of times
