Anyone attended biometrics appointment without notice letter?

Does anyone have any experience of being allowed to attend the biometrics appointment without your notice letter? What was your experience?

N-400:

12/27/2023 - Received receipt notice and biometric reuse notice. Estimated processing time: 6 months

12/27/2023 - Submitted N-400 online

 

I-751:

January 2023 - Submitted I-751 via mail

 

AOS (I-130 & I-485)  from H-1B, based on marriage to a USC:

3/18/2021 - Card delivered! 
3/18/2021 - Card mailed 
3/16/2021 - Approved
3/15/2021 - New card ordered
3/9/2021 - Interview completed and your case must be reviewed. We will mail you a notice if we make a decision or take further action. (I had to go in with some updated and signed medical form as something was missing in the initially submitted form and they gave me an appointment for the following week)
1/22/2021 - Scheduled interview
1/19/2021 - Ready to schedule for interview

1/15/2021 (1 year and 2 months!) - Case status changed to interview cancelled! :(

12/9/2021 (1 year and 1 month) - Case status changed to interview scheduled

1/21/2020 (Day 73) - Case is ready to be scheduled for interview

12/12/2019 (Day 33) - Biometrics Appointment. Case status online updated to fingerprints received.

12/6/2019 (Day 27) - Called USCIS customer care and received an email copy of biometrics notice as I had misplaced the original one

11/22/2019 (Day 20) - Received biometrics notice letter for 12/12 biometrics appointment (No status changes in online USCIS case trackers)

11/18/2019 (Day 9) - USCIS charged credit card. Received text notifications from USCIS with case number (Checked case numbers to see following statuses: 11/12 - Case was received, 11/18 - Fingerprint fee was received)

11/10/2019 (Day 1) - USPS notification of delivery to USCIS
11/8/2019 - Sent application via USPS

Did you lose the letter you received on November 29th (according to your timeline signature), or are you trying to attend your appointment early?

 

The letter is basically your ticket in the door----and your receipt that you showed up (as they stamp it before you leave and hand it back to you).

I lost the letter and I don't know if I will be able to get them to send a letter before my appointment date. I was going to call and see if they can fax a copy to my spouse's workplace tomorrow when he is working (I don't have one at my workplace).

As mentioned, your letter is your ticket in the door for an early walk in appointment.

 

Whether you can go to your original booked appointment without the letter though I don't know. I'd assume you can as you'll be in their system for appointments that day.

When you call, also point out to them that the letter is not available online so they can put it up or have it faxed to your husband's workplace (whichever is faster). If they have to have access to your appt letter, they might as well put it up.

So I have been trying to call USCIS at this number 1 (800) 375-5283 and I am not able to get past the automated voice. Does anyone know the right number or option to get through to speak to someone? 

N-400:

When you say online, where do you mean? Will I be able to see it in my account? The case status has not been updated anywhere (it still shows case received but I received the biometrics appointment letter).

Try the option to change your address then when the officer comes on explain your issue to her.

Thank you! I was able to get through with the "forms" option. The first representative disappeared mid call so I had to call back. The second representative transferred my case to a USCIS officer but the wait time was around 5 hours so I have requested a call back. Hopefully, they will be able to fax it to me! She also took down my email in case there is an option to email it but I am doubtful if they can do that.

Thank you to everyone who responded. Just wanted to update that I received a call from a USCIS officer at around 5 PM Central Time and she was able to email a copy of the biometrics letter to me!
