RFE after Interview for green card

Hello. I came to US with K1 visa and now I'm in adjustment of status process.

So we had our interview in the end of September and the officer was "nice" enough not to approve us at once. She said she will need additional proofs. So I got the RFE and send additional photos, bank statements and affidavits from friends and family. Long story short. As I was going to have my interview soon I didn't send a renewal request for my EAD which will expire in January. I feel like this gonna take a while and I would have to quit my job cuz I won't even manage to renew my EAD. Any suggestions what I could do? Do you have any idea how long it's gonna take for them to process my case again? Thanks a lot.

Just renew your EAD. NOA 1 will extend your EAD for a year.

My employer sent me a letter stating that my ead will expire soon and also stating that NOA won't be enough to continue my employment

Your employer probably doesn't know how USCIS works, EAD renewal takes the same time as regular EAD. How are you gonna get a new EAD card right after yours expires? That's impossible, that's why NOA for EAD renewal explicitly says that it extend the validity of the EAD for 180 days (I incorrectly said 1 year before).

You should renew it no matter what, it can take months for USCIS to finally give you their decision. If your employer still doesn't accept it, I don't think there's anything else you can do.

Thank you so much for the reply. I will send the application for renewal today. I had it ready before but when I saw that I'm gonna have GC interview I didn't send it. Should've sent when I had more time. Well. Yes. There is nothing else I can do.

Thanks again
