Hey all I am helping my husbands cousin out .. has anyone had an interview in Port au Prince lately? They are in the final stages of k1 in which documents were submitted to DHL and CEAC status says Ready. Will the embassy contact the applicant with an appointment date?

I know some days the embassy has been open for emergencies only due to the political unrest.

The last time I talk to them was 2 weeks ago they told me to go ahead and pay the fees have my stuff ready to go when they reopen for interview. But the way it looks of things it’s going to be a while

Thanks- a phone call was made last week and it said they are close until things settle down. She paid the fees, brought docs to DHL and just waiting for embassy to contact for interview. Hope things get better soon there!

Hopefully they contact everyone. I heard its been calm lately hopefully on Monday the 11th the office will open. Fingers cross.

Hi they’re not open since it’s Veterans Day, but have you already booked an interview?

I’m trying to book one for my stepson but the website keeps saying there’s no appts available. I wonder how long until they start displaying appts again even if it’s appts after the new year, I need to solidify a date.

Oh wow! I had forgot  November 11 was Veterans Day. 😂

I have not booked an appointment , I am waiting on NVC to schedule an interview. It's been over three months since we were approved. I understand the Chaos that was occurring in Haiti, but a set date should had been made. Hopefully by the end of this month we can get an answer.
