Difficulty in faxing documents for expedited request

Hi,

 We placed an expedited request for work authorization and have been asked by USCIS to fax documents to support our request.

 

They gave us a fax number in the email and we tried to send the documents to the given fax number; however, every time it gives a failed message. We tried multiple times.

 

Wanted to know the USCIS fax number from ppl who had placed an expedited request and successfully sent their documents via fax.

Can you tell us your procedure? what did you enter, etc. sometimes you have to add +1 before the number. also i have faxed using gmail before  it's easy. something to look into.

Well! We got it sorted today and were able to send. Actually the fax machine that we were sending thru needed number "9" to be entered before dialling to get the time.

 

Never heard of sending fax thru Gmail. Can you share that process on how to do that. Maybe it will be helpful in the future.

for sure. follow steps below:

1. Sign up on https://www.fax.plus/en/signup using your Google account (Click on the Google button to sign up with Google)
2. Open your Gmail account and click on the Compose button to start a new email
3. Enter the recipient’s fax number followed by @fax.plus in the To field (+16692001010@fax.plus) (don't forget to add +1)
4. Attach the document you wish to fax from Gmail
5. Send your email and the fax transmission will be started right away
