Miami is within the US. Plus, the EAD is just work authorization. Assuming the I-485 is still pending, he's authorized to stay, just not to work.

His ID will expire on Oct 29 as well

I live in GEORGIA in order to get on the flight he will need valid Identification which expires when his ead does
