Green Card Lottery then TN1 Visa (Conflict for dual intent?)

My wife is able to apply for the green card lottery as she is from one of the countries on that list.

However, I am potentially going to be receiving an offer to work in the US on a TN1 visa.

Is there a conflict of interest here that will screw me for the TN1 visa approval seeing as how it's not dual intent?

She is able to apply for the lottery now, and my possible TN1 Visa is a couple months down the road.

Applying for entry into the diversity visa lottery is meaningless as far as intent is concerned. Even being selected doesn’t mean anything - it is only at the point a DS260 is submitted that intent is there.

by the way, if your wife is eligible then you can enter by cross-charging to her country of eligibility too - in case that is of interest to you.

I had the same question. just entered visa lottery on an O, which i am still unclear about in terms of being dual intent or not. Participating in the lottery does not count against me if I need to renew my O? Thank you!
