Hi to all respected members,

My wife case transfer to NVC on August 8 and today is September 18th. My Question is that how much time it will take NVC to assign a Case No on the newly transferred case to NVC I know they says it take around 4 to 6 weeks but still wanted some opinion and suggestions from you guys who might have gone through all this process till the Visa in hand stage.

2nd Question is since the Priority date is already active in NVC so after assigning the case will they gonna start processing further steps right away like the Docs submission fee submission and interview stage?.

Will be looking forward to have some great suggestion from respected members of this platform.

Did you try to call NVC to find out if they received your file? And if yes, on what date?

My example: Husband's case was transferred to NVC on 8/12, received by NVC on 8/21, case # assigned on 9/18 (today).

After you get the case # from NVC, you will have access to CEAC. There you have to pay the fees first, then wait 3 days till the payment is processed, and only then you can start uploading the required documents.

Here's the detailed instructions with screen photos:

As everyone suggested already, best to call them. it will take about 30-45 mins for someone to answer if the line is accepting calls.  I tried going the email route to find info and it took them 2 weeks to respond to the email.

I tried to call so many times but only computer generated reply with multiple options and at the end all the representative are busy try another time anyone know any other way to contact so I can able to call their representative directly or atleast they put me on hold instead of decline my call altogether after mentioning the all options.

First step. Dial - and if you hear the familiar “Thank you for calling...”, hang up immediately. Re-dial right away. Keep repeating the process till you hear a dial tone for a few seconds, and the automated voice saying “all our operators are busy with other callers, please stay on the line”, etc. - followed by the music.

Second step. Stay on the line till a human finally answers.

For me it takes from 10 to 70 times for the first step (depends on the time of the call), and from 40 to 90 min for the second step.

Stubborness and patience rule!

Good luck!

well my vj fellow freind deadman..portorusa told you everything very well. because just two days ago my wife call them and it took almost 1an half hour to conect with human ..and then it took another hour to get awnser for her inquiry so when you call them you have to make sure that you have nothing else to do accept to just call to nvc. and as everyone told you that call is the best option. hope you will get awnser what you want .
