Consulate Review: Islamabad, Pakistan
Review Topic: IR-1/CR-1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : November 12, 2019
Embassy Review : According to the wife, the interview went well and her visa was approved. They said that the passport with the visa on it should be ready in 2-weeks for pick up locally. They didn't ask for the health insurance card or proof. She did the interview in Urdu.

Interview questions (seems like they are pretty standard):
1. Spouse’s hobbies?
a. explain hobbies in detail.
2. What company does he work for?
a. What does he do?
b. How long he's worked there.?
c. What's his yearly salary
d. What is your spouse’s job title/designation

Documents they asked for (please take everything that was submitted to NVC):
1. Applicant’s birth certificate
2. Wedding pictures
3. Marriage certificate
4. 2x2 visa photographs

Result: Visa approved!javascript:emoticon('')
Rating : Very Good

I think we met on the day of interview. As i have my interview on the 8th too, it went well. Just a quick one, what's your status showing on the website ? The Consular told me that they intend to give me visa, so they gonna hold my passport for two weeks. But on the website it says my case is currently undergoing necessary administrative processing ? And idea where i stand now ?
Sonu on 2019-11-10 said:
Mine also says administrative processing. I would give it time if the co said it's approved.
Ammar Ch on 2019-11-10 said:
Yeah was not expecting that, this came as a surprise to me. Hopefully it gets updated soon in our case.
Sonu on 2019-11-10 said:
That's what usually happens from what I have heard
Ammar Ch on 2019-11-10 said:
Yeah that's what i thought until i heard from another person on this forum who had interview a day before and she is claiming she had her status saying issued, but with male applicants its different.

Sonu on 2020-02-20 said:
How long did it take to get SSN. Does your SSN say something like for work authorization.

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
