If my mum wants to write an affidavit about her knowledge of my relationship for my I-129f RFE response, when including her photocopied ID, should I include her affidavit of change of surname e.g she changed her surname from henry-smith to just Henry. Will it be a problem?

Is that what USCIS asked for, an affidavit from your mom or another person?    I believe you stated the RFE asked YOU for an explanation  ...

@ Hank, I was asked for an explanation of the discrepancy, and a letter from friends or relatives that have knowledge of the relationship.

I thought it was right for my mum to write as a relative to also I'm still single

The whole story sounds dodgy.  Why would you ever give someone your passwords (especially in Nigeria?!)??

 

They don’t randomly ask for military order papers.   What is that about?

 

The affidavit from your mom will not be given much credibility.

 

I think you will have to get legally married and start over with a CR-1.
