i really prepared for our interview..get everything ready , myself & my husband..we had our interview last may 31st..no sweat at all, the IO was very personable..she stamped my passport & told us that the greencard will arrive in two weeks or so..but when we got home i receive an e-mail from cris saying that our case is "UNDER REVIEW"..i assume its the FBI namecheck but she didn't mentioned anything about it..well i didn't ask because i was so excited...i feel like floating..

she took my EAD card & said that i can use the stamp on my passport if i wanna work before my GC arrives..

now what? if i am on namecheck list who knows how long that will take? the stamp is valid for 30 days only..

The interviewing officer would not have approved your case if you were still in name check.... and you would not have got the I-551 stamp in your passport if you had not been approved....

If you have not recieved your greencard or welcome letter by the end of the 30 days then I would make an infopass appointment....

Sone people get no update emails after interview other get one saying card production ordered or wellcome letter sent...

As the officer never actually told you that you were awaiting name chack you can not assume that this is what the email is refering to...

The email still does not mean you are in Name check..... you would not have been given the I-551 stamp if you had not been approved and you would not have been approved if you were still in FBI name check....

You might find that the wrong email was sent to you.... USCIS are very good at sending out the wrong emails to people... some have had emails telling them that their interview has been cancelled when in fact it has not been and the first they know about it is when they get the letter of denial for not showing up..... but like I said you will need to wait and see if anything comes in the mail....

In our case, we were approved at the interview, then our case was "under review" (per email) for 2 days simply because the AO needed his "boss" to approve everything. I think it's just a formality.

If you got your I-551 stamp, you are fine.
