My wife and daughter are on a K-1/K-2 visa and both had their physical in July 2005 prior to coming to the States. We received letters for the AOS interview requesting the normal documentation (evidence of common residence, etc..) but no mention of any required physical/vaccination records. What's the opinion here? So obvious that I'm supposed to know to bring it? They didn't ask for it so don't worry about it? I appreciate the input

thx

jim

If they didn't ask for it, then don't bring it. If they feel it is necessary after you attend the interview, they will issue a conditional approval based on submitting the I-693A. Once you fax it into them, they will approve your AOS. I wouldn't worry about it unless they ask for it.

Sorry, Jim. I meant to qualify the vaccination statement.... the above post assumes your wife received her vaccines prior to coming to the U.S.

........ and both had their physical in July 2005 prior to coming to the States........

?

Hmmm. Good point, RJ.

Thanks for the replies, and yes, they both had their vaccines updated prior to coming to the States

Hi Jim. Looks like you've run into a case worker who knows what they're doing. K-1's don't need additional physical/vaccination records because those were a requirement of the visa and are already in the file. Congratulations!

:help:

Now I am confused. I read in another post that the vaccines are only required at the AOS stage, and not required for the K1 visa.

QUOTE You can definitely get the vaccinations earlier! You only need them when you apply for AOS once you're married. If it's cheaper to get it done in your home country, I definitely recommend it. END QUOTE

this is my first link i hope that works

heres my query.

my fiance lost his vaccine records, and his mother doesnt remember what he has had, when, or where. I have spoken with various doctors and nurses, and they have no suggestions other than going to his place of birth and trying to find records where he might have been vaccinated, which is not possible due to time constraints and the fact that his mother doesnt remember where he was vaccinated. should he just get them all again? 20 vaccines..ouch. is it ok to be vaccinated twice for certain things, like polio, which is one of the required vacs?

@bmadeline: in order to find out what vaccines your fiance has already received, a doctor could simply do a titer test  ! Good luck
