My I-129f will expire before my interview: What should I do?

My I-129F is set to expire September 14th.

I have been notified by the Dublin embassy that they will inform me of my interview date by 'mid September'

As such, it seems likely that my interview will not take place until after the 14th.

Do I need to request an extension for my 1-129F? If so, how do I go about doing that?

Not sure how the embassy in Dublin works, would be nice if someone from there were to pop-in.

Most embassies automatically extend the petition, like Paul & Mary stated.    Some embassies you have to contact them to request the extension.

Quick call or email to the embassy would get it done.    And if you learn it is automatic .. post back .     Thanks

Update: I contacted the embassy. The process in Dublin is not automatic. Rather, it's left to the discretion of the Consular Officer during my interview.

Hopefully it won't be a major issue. But who knows? I will probably bring documents to demonstrate that the delay was beyond my control, just in case.
