I understand the senator's office takes time, in the mean time would there be any down sides to keep trying to reach a supervisor who is actually willing to help?

No downside, I was gonna say that but forgot. Just keep pounding on them until you get someone who is willing to help.

I changed my mind, this call center is useless, misleading, time consuming and very frustrating.  It slowly gnaws at your soul, that is  the down side.  We will go with the e-request tool on the USCIS account and the senator's office. I understand that clerical errors happen, I understand cases might get  misrouted. But to be told contradictory things , trying 6 times to get through an ISO, who refuses to help you is unacceptable. My husband has to work, he cant keep getting mornings off for useless phone calls.

It is even more frustrating to see that some people get results, some don't, doing exactly the same things. According to what criteria?

Update and a fair warning, do not call USCIS call center. They don't help, they put more service requests without your consent, Tier-2 officers refuse to help then complete your  initial service requests as if they solved your issue. I couldn't put an e-request, because in our third call, an overeager tier-1 operator put another service request while keeping my husband on hold, which started another 30 day period and now i have to wait until September 28th to file an e-request.

We had been going back and forth with NVC and USCIS,  exhausted every venue and achieved NOTHING other than helping them buy up more time and getting worn out in the process. Still our case shows no signs of moving with the last date of  update being 24th of May, a week after our approval date.

I am heading to  Senator Schumer's webpage, he is a moderate,  inoffensively  left of center Democrat  imho and a seasoned senator, I hope he can help.

Contact the immigration liaison at your U.S. Senator's office. That's what we did when our case was stuck at NVC for no good reason and they had our case moving within 24 hours. Don't waste time with congresspeople, I tried that route and they just aren't staffed very well.

Now contact your local Congressman, Senators and what not. They had to chance to resolve this.

My recent experience of TSC but on a different visa: I also got stuck in processing. My consular return got to 180 days and I asked a certain CA Congressman for help. That in a few weeks (Christmas was in the middle) got me a response. I then waited another 132 days and set the same Congressman's staffers on them again. The response was promised in 10 days but took 14.

Short version, TSC is ridiculously overloaded with cases and their processes are taking longer than ever. You have to wait at least 120 days which it looks like you have. Find a pro immigration Congressman, preferably in the state you're intending to move to and file a release form asking for help. It's the best way.

I would have already contacted an outside entity such as my Senators.........they can get an answer.....

Hi again,

My husband received this written correspondence after the Tier-2  he spoke to completed our case.  It is quite confusing on many fronts. First issue, is we actually received the I-797 the notice of approval. Also the USCIS account still shows our case to be approved. Today a second service request was even assigned to an officer.

Secondly, my husband did not tell her that we still do not have the approval notice. Quite the contrary, he told her that we were approved but the file wasn't received by the NVC yet. So that part is also wrong.

Thirdly, the letter says the beneficiary is unknown, which is me. How can they not know or see the name of beneficiary?

ANd, finally, how can an approved case might still be in security checks?

We really have no idea how to interpret this and are getting very very worried and regretted that we tried to call this service in the first place.

Here is a copy of the letter we received with sensitive info blurred.

We would really appreciate your input on this. So did they retract the approval? Neither of us have a criminal history.

Please help us understand what this document means for our case.
