Hi everyone, my interview is scheduled for november but I'm curious about these things. If anyone can help, i would appreciate.

1 - If i pass the exam and everything goes well during interview, approximately how long it takes for me to take oath and then finally apply for passport?

2 - my I-751 (removing conditions) is still pending. I have no news for it. What should happen next for it?

3 - Is it recommended to travel abroad before or after my interview (I have expired green card and ALMOST expiring extension letter)

4 - My spouse doesn't have to show up at interview, correct?

5 - What supporting documents should I bring? Is it enough to bring what i submitted with N400 application? or should i bring anything else?

Thank you in advance.

Mark.

It might take few days to 120 days

2 - my I-751 (removing conditions) is still pending. I have no news for it. What should happen next for it?-

You might get joint interview or just N-400 and IO will review your I-751 application and approve it and then N-400

3 - Is it recommended to travel abroad before or after my interview (I have expired green card and ALMOST expiring extension letter)-

You can travel as long as your have expired documents

4 - My spouse doesn't have to show up at interview, correct?-

Spouse must go with N-400 even it is not both I-751 and N-400 interview.  In my case, it was only  N-400 interview, when ask about the status of i-751, IO asked, is your spouse with you. I said, yes, he said he will review my I-751.

5 - What supporting documents should I bring? Is it enough to bring what i submitted with N400 application? or should i bring anything else?-

Most of the cases, bring N-400 submitted original and also latest tax return and a few months of bank statements-  IO might not check those, but better to have.

Thank you in advance.

Mark.

Depends on your local office. I've seen it generally range from 1 to 12 weeks.

2 - my I-751 (removing conditions) is still pending. I have no news for it. What should happen next for it?

Your i-751 has to be resolved/approved first. Some offices will approve it within a day of the interview, others take more time. The extra i751 processing time is an addition to the range quoted above.

3 - Is it recommended to travel abroad before or after my interview (I have expired green card and ALMOST expiring extension letter)

No problem traveling on your extension letter. If your extension letter expires, go to your local office for an i551 stamp in your passport

4 - My spouse doesn't have to show up at interview, correct?

Wrong. Your spouse needs to be there because the interview is likely a combo i751 and n400 interview and she needs to answer questions related to i751 if they have any.

5 - What supporting documents should I bring? Is it enough to bring what i submitted with N400 application? or should i bring anything else?

If you didn't submit your IRS transcript for 2018 tax return with your N400, take that.

thank you for answer. I'm in Dallas, TX.

Do I have to do anything to get my I751 approved before interview? What if it doesn't get approved until interview?

My n400 interview letter doesn't say anything about my spouse to be there. MY i751 has no update (such as interview) How can I know that my spouse has to go with me? Letter doesn't say anything about it. If I go alone, will I be denied?

This question needs to be answered first. The N-400 cannot approved until the I-751 is approved. So if you passed and your I-751 is still pending, nothing will happen. You will wait until the I-751 is adjudicated. I have seen some officer request the I-751 be transferred to them and they will interview you for both and may approve both and take care of all of it. I have also seen other officers just do the N-400 interview, and let the I-751 stay on its course. It seems to vary depending on the office, and the officer himself/herself and what they want to do. I assume it would also depend on the rank of the officer. Some officers seem to have the power to approve everything all at once and some officers have to get their supervisors to approve it.

If passed, you will go home. They will send the formal approval notice in the mail. That could be 1-2 weeks. Then the case is in line for the oath, that vary widely depends on the schedule of the office and/or court (there are two types of ceremonies, judicial ones are at the federal court houses and if you have a name change, that's where you have to do, and administrative ones are at the local USCIS office), it could be several weeks or several months. In rare circumstances, people can get naturalized the same day if they happen to have a ceremony that day of the interview. That happened to a couple of my wife's co-workers. Went in for the interview, passed, then they said: "Well, we do have a ceremony this afternoon and there are a couple of open spots, would you like to take the oath this afternoon too?"

As mentioned above though, nothing will happen until the I-751 is approved.

Passport: you can apply same day you get the naturalization certificate. You will have to send the certificate in with the application and it will be returned later. Regular processing for passport is 4-6 weeks and expedite is 2 weeks.

No problem. Just get the I-551 stamp. For after, see passport.

If spouse is available, it might be worthwhile to bring

Bring everything. It is always better to be over-prepared then under.
