hello vjlers,

i live in Georgia but was schedule to have an interview (5yrs rule) for n400 in Birmingham AL on august 20th . interview was great, i was recommended for approval by the IO.

the IO gave me the form with the check mark " congratulations bla bla bla...you have been recommended for approval".  he said i should come back in a months time for

the oath ceremony. that i should wait for the letter in the mail. to my greatest dismay, i checked my updated status and it reads  "Case transferred to another field office for review".

i dont know whats going on. one more thing, i was scheduled for interview without them letting me know that my case has been transferred to Birmingham Al. any help?

Is your local office Birmingham , AL?  If not, may be after interview, your case might be handle by your local office to schedule an oath.  Check the frequency of oath ceremony in your local office.

Hello,

I am in the same boat.

I live in Georgia but they scheduled my interview (3 years rule) in Alabama, Montgomery though. I had my interview yesterday.

I passed tests and Ofiicer gave me the form where he checked I passed tests and decision can not be made.

I got home the same day and my status was updated:

We transferred your application to different USCIS office for review.

What I am thinking happened is, they transferred my application to Alabama office after the interview, the Officer told me my Oath ceremony will be scheduled in Alabama as well since Atlanta office is 8 months behind.

I have a question

my interview scheduled (3 years rule) in Montgomery, Al in October 1.

Did they ask you more documents beside green card, passports and  marriage certificate ?

Does your online status still say case transferred to another office?

Or did they upload any document explaining why they transferred the case?

Thankks once again

Good evening,

Is there any news on your end?

Mine is the same, still says application transferred to another office, no document uploaded to explain why.

When I search my receipt number outside my account it still says interview was schedule.

I called USCIS today they said it might be technical issue and will be updated.

they did not give me any useful news

Thank you
