Timeline

hello vj family,

 

a friend applied for asylum almost 5 years now and this morning he received an online notification as follows:

 

We reached a decision in your case. You should expect to receive the decision in the mail shortly. You must follow the instructions in your decision letter as to what you should do next.

 

anyone here have any experience with such notification. as he is worried about the outcome. any input will be appreciated.

Thanks,

That is a generic response that is generated when a decision is reached (favorable to the applicant, or not).  There is no way to discern outcome from the language in that notification.

Wait for the notice in the mail...everything else is speculation at this point.

10/24/18: Green card produced notice, 10/25/18: Formal approval, 10/31/18: Green card received

4/6/2017: Received, 4/12/2017: Sent to Riyadh embassy, 4/16/2017: Case received at Riyadh embassy, 4/21/2017: Request case transfer to Manila, approved 4/24/2017

 

K-1

5/1/2017: Case received by Manila (1 week embassy transfer??? Lucky~)

7/13/2017: Interview: APPROVED!!!

7/19/2017: Visa in hand

8/15/2017: POE
