Can I apply for B2 while K1 is pending?

My K1 visa is still pending, we are waiting for NOA2. Can I apply for a tourist visa and come to US? What difficulties will I face and what's the chance of denial? I've never been to US before.

The "chance" of denial (it's not a chance-based process but I'm assuming you mean likelihood of getting a visa) depends on your particular circumstances.

What you will need to demonstrate are your ties to return home. It's often hard to do so with a USC fiance (a strong tie to the US), plus the intention to abandon any such tie to return home in the coming months.

Other factors like travel history, job, etc. are considered. The main thing is to be credible.

That said, it is often much harder for people from certain countries to get one than others due to previous abuse of the visa from individuals in those countries.

 

But it's a guaranteed lack of a visa if you don't apply. Good luck.
